MJS’s package of structure works for these contracts consisted of construction of a reinforced concrete waterproof car park undercroft, and number of 4 storey cores and stairwells and a series of 6m high waterproof fair faced retaining walls. The groundworks elements consisted of foul and surface water drainage and notably a soil stabilization scheme which involved moving and treating over 15000m3 of material. The hard landscaping element of the works involved careful coordination of materials and installation of Chinese granite kerbs and paving slabs to intricate design to the highest specification and tolerances. The pinnacle of which is the seated outdoor auditorium and main entrance stairwells.
