Cambridge - Addenbrookes, Project Capella

MJS Construction (March) Ltd were contracted by Kier to undertake this large contract at Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge. MJS package included sheet piling, 7m deep basement excavation, all suspended in slab lab waste drainage, pumping stations and construction of the 1.8m dp heavily reinforced waterproof concrete slab. The slab had over 800T of rebar and over 5000m3 of concrete. MJS then constructed all the waterproof walls to the basement and carried out all structural toppings to all of the 5 number upper floor slabs. MJS were also subsequently instructed to execute the concrete topping works (applied to PCC planks) and external works (pavings and site furniture).
