MJS Construction (March) Ltd were contracted by Wates Construction Ltd to undertake the Groundworks, External Services and Drainage and RC Frame Sub-Structure & Superstructures for Blocks A,B,C,D,E,F,G,H & J, which included a Watertight Basement to Block G, plus 2nr Sub-Stations at Lot 2 NW Cambridge for Cambridge University.

 

MJS worked closely with the Project Team to fast track the delivery programme by utilising a

Hy-Brid RC Frame Structure. This was achieved by designing, procuring and erecting of PCC Twinwall Panels, coupled with the use of Bamtec Roll out Carpet Reinforcement.

 

MJS also had to co-ordinate and collaborate closely with the client’s sub-contractors for Heating Main and Potable and Non-Potable water main installations to the site along with the SW and FW Drainage including attenuation tank plus Ductwork installations across the site. MJS bettered the contract programme significantly and won a number of quality and safety awards from the Cambridge University appointed Clerk of Works-Calford Seaden.
